General policy
We respect the copyright of all artists’ work in whatever format and it is our sincerest aim to abide by the legal requirements regarding the use of media on our site.
You are most welcome to use materials from The Culturium if you wish to do so; please view our Terms of Use page for further information.
Graphic images & photography
In our use of graphic images and photography, every effort is made to use public domain/copyright-free material, or else media that falls under the appropriate Creative Commons licences, with full accreditation always given wherever possible.
Film stills
With regard to film stills, full accreditation is always given back to the relevant film production/distribution company wherever possible. In situations where it has not been possible to contact the copyright holder, we abide by the conditions outlined under Fair Use.
Textual quotations and excerpts
Again, we seek to use public domain/copyright-free material with regard to text; however, where the copyright is still in existence, we endeavour to abide by the measures outlined under Fair Use.
Audio & video media
We only ever embed official audio and video media into our site from bona fide third-party providers, where permission to share the material has already been granted by the artist or their estate.
